A Quantitative "fit test" tests the seal between the respirator's face piece and your face. This test is chemical free without the use of Saccharin and Bitrex. A Quantitative fit test is not a pass/fail method (i.e. Qualitative), its efficacy is measured by a machine that delivers a result of 99.1% accuracy per test, not subjective on a 'persons' perception of what they smell/taste. Things To Know For Your Mask Fit Test: How to Prepare for your test: You must be clean shaven, no eating, smoking, vaping and caffeine 2 hours before your appointment. Please wear your hair the same way you would wear in your workplace setting. It takes about 15-20 minutes to complete and should be performed every two years. After passing a fit test with a respirator, you must use the exact same make, model, style, and size respirator on the job to ensure a continuous proper fit. Appointment & price is per person.
